The crew was dispatched to the Largo Vista fire on the ANF. The fire was 100% contained by 0100 on Saturday morning. They then got assigned to the Monte fire, located Five miles northeast of Lakeside, CA. Chaparral. Active fire behavior with running and spotting. Numerous structures threatened. Evacuations in effect.

Hey guys Where are you now? My son was so impressed with you, well, i should say the ones of you he talked to up on Ortega, that all he thinks about is being a Hot Shot when he grows up. Please come home safely from whatever wildfire you are at. And, thanks to all of you for what you do, risking your lives so others can be safe.
